| (Tokyo, Japan.) ARIB or Association of Radio Industries and Businesses of Japan, finally gave the nod to the enhanced iBurst technology as a mobile broadband wireless access system on September 25, 2008. The standard is named ARIB STD-T97 (Ver.1.0), and it includes the two systems defined in IEEE802.20 standard. IEEE is the world's leading professional non-profit association for the advancement of technology, and the enhanced iBurst technology is referred to as 625k-MC Mode at IEEE802.20 standard. |
