LEADERSHIP AWARD IN THE FIELD OF IEEE802.20 BASED WIRELESS TECHNOLOGY

Kyocera corporation was awarded the title of 2009 Asia Pacific Frost & Sullivan Technology Leadership in the field of IEEE802.20 Based Wireless Technology on 2 September 2009.

This prestigious award is in recognition of Kyocera Corporation’s IP based iBurst wireless technology that enables seamless provisioning of ubiquitous broadband wireless access to both mobile and fixed users, technology innovation and significance of technology to the industry.

Cindy Gan, Director, Asia Pacific Best Practices and Events, Frost & Sullivan had said it right that the ultimate award recipient is chosen after a thorough evaluation of the research on the basis of a set of qualitative and quantitative measurements.

The selection process includes primary participant interviews and extensive primary and secondary research via the bottom-up approach. The analysts also consider the pace of technology innovation, and the potential relevance or significance of the technology to the overall industry.

Since its advent, iBurst has been internationally deployed successfully in various parts of the world such as Australia, Africa, Canada, Malaysia and others.
