Dr. Martin Cooper

| Dr.
Martin Cooper is executive chairman and founder of ARRAYCOMM, Inc., and
serves on the boards of several other companies. He is widely
recognized as a pioneer in the personal communications industry and as
an innovator in spectrum management. He is an inventor, introduced, in
1973, the first portable cellular radiotelephone, and has been called
the father of portable cellular telephony. ArrayComm, LLC is the
world’s leader in MAS, Multi-antenna Signal Processing, also known as
smart antenna technology.
Dr.
Cooper was a founder of Cellular Business Systems, Inc. (CBSI), which
provided billing and management services to most cellular companies in
the US and is now a part of Convergys, Inc. Before that he was V.P. and
Corporate Director of Research and development for Motorola, Inc.,
responsible for the creation and stimulation of technology throughout
Motorola. He joined Motorola in 1954 as a research engineer and
advanced through a number of engineering and management positions
before becoming a corporate officer in 1969 and vice president and
general manager of the Communications Systems Division, which he
founded in 1971. That division became Motorola’s cellular business.
Dr
Cooper led, during his 29 years at Motorola, the creation of number of
major businesses including high-capacity paging, trunked mobile radio,
cellular radiotelephone, quartz crystals, oscillators and
piezo-electric components, Motorola A.M. Stereo technology and various
mobile and portable two way radio product lines. Dr. Cooper was
involved in industry and government efforts to allocate new radio
frequency spectrum for the land mobile radio services in the U.S. and
has testified before the FCC and the Senate. He was granted nine
patents in the communications field. He has been widely published on
various aspects of communications technology and on management of
research and development.
Dr.
Cooper is a graduate of the Illinois Institute of Technology from who
he received bachelor’s )1950) and master’s (1956) degrees in Electrical
Engineering and an honorary Doctor of Philosophy (2004). He serves on
this university’s Board of Trustees.
He
is a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers
(IEEE) and of the Radio Club of America (RCA) and is a member of ETA
Kappa Nu (electrical engineering honorary society) and Rho Epsilon
(radio engineering honorary). He was president of the Vehicular
Technology Society of the IEEE in 1972 and 1973 and was awarded the
IEEE centennial Medal in 1984, and the RCA Fred Link award in 1996.
Cooper received the American Computer Museum’s George R. Stibitz
Computer and Communications Pioneer Award in 2002, he was an inaugural
member of RCR’s Wireless Hall of Fame, Red Herring magazine named him
one of the Top 10 Entrepreneurs of 2000, and Wireless Systems Design
magazine provided him with the 2002 Industry Leader award. He was a
winner of the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania Business
Transformation Technology Change Leader Award.
Dr.
Cooper has served on technical committees of the Electronic Industries
Association and the National Research Council as well as numerous
industry and civic groups. He was a Distinguished Lecturer for the
International Electronics Consortium, is a Fellow of that organization,
and serves on its Advisory Board. He serves on the Department of
Commerce NTIA Spectrum Advisory Task Force and has participated in
advisory groups for the government of Australia and Singapore. Dr.
Cooper served as a submarine officer in the US Navy from 1950 to 1953. |

Officer in June 2003, he has been heading the Corporate Communication

Mongi Hamdi, a native of Tunisia, is Chief of Science and Technology at
the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) and
Head of the Secretariat of the United Nations Commission on Science and
Technology for Development. Prior to joining UNCTAD, Mr. Hamdi worked
in the Department of International Economic and Social Affairs of the
United Nations Secretariat in New York, where ha was one of the core
authors of the World Economic and Social Survey. Mongi Hamdi holds a
Master of Science and a Ph.D. in Engineering from the University of
Southern California at Los Angeles. He also holds a Certificate in
Macroeconomic Policy and Management from Harvard University. His areas
of interest are science, technology and innovation policies, technology
transfer and information and communication technologies. He has written
widely on science, technology, environment and energy.

Kevin Leong Kong Hoy, is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of

After
his graduation in September 1992, Kevin started his career as an
Engineer in Seagate (M) Sdn Bhd and worked his way to become IT
Director before leaving in December 2003. In Seagate, he was
responsible for the IT divisions in 3 separate manufacturing plants
located in Penang, Ipoh and Thailand where he managed the automation
engineering of the plants with the objective to fully automate its
production lines. He was also the chairman of Seagate Engineering
Council to implement the “Advanced Manufacturing System Concept” for
Seagate. He has 14 years of vast experience in the ICT industry and
corporate management. Under his leadership, MoBif Berhad Group was
transformed from a small business entity into a diversified business
group, amongst the principal activities are iBurst (High Speed Wireless
Broadband), Vision Inspection System, Internet Surveillance &

Karim Taga is Managing Director in the Vienna office of Arthur D.
Little’s German, Austrian and CEE operations. He specializes in
telecommunications and he is leading the TIME (Telecommunications,
Information Technology, Media and Electronics) practice in Central
Europe.
His interests are primarily focused on three functional areas:

Prior to joining Arthur D. Little in May 1997, Dr. Taga worked for
several years at Ericsson in the business area Private Networks.
Karim Taga received a Master of Science in 1989 from the Ecole
Supérieure de l’Energie et des Matériaux, Orléans France with a master
thesis accomplishment at the University of California Berkeley. After
his studies he worked as a research assistant at the Vienna University
of Technology where he developed an infrared fibre optical sensor. He

Sasan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering from
Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, USA. He has

medical electronic instruments. In addition Sasan has over 13 years of
telecom and IT experience in systems engineering, planning and
operations, predominantly in wireless environments.
He
joined Wireless Business solutions (operating as iBurst) in 1999 as
Engineering and Operations Manager until 2002 when he was appointed as
Chief Technical Officer.
Sasan
Parvin identified iBurst as the best WBA technology for mobile data and
IP internet in 2003. After extensive research and traveling to US,
Australia and Japan he then pioneered the iBurst technology in SA in
2004. He established iBurst’s highly professional, dedicated and
skillful technical team that have together been building the network
from late 2004 to present. He has been instrumental in building the
network access technology (iBurst), the transport network as well as
the core-IP and services network. Mr. Parvin has been instrumental in
the iBurst deployment, while at the same time negotiating multiple
contracts and service agreements with various providers for the
provision of IP bandwidth, equipment, development of application and
services, as well as maintenance and operations.
He
has been responsible for overseeing and managing the technology
evaluation and selection, engineering, radio and coverage planning,
design implementation, maintenance and operations of WBS’ National
Wireless Mobile Data Network which is today know as iBurst – one of the
leading providers of the broadband internet access in Southern Africa.
This includes setup and management of the internet and value added
services/platforms.

Mr.
Dan E. Khoo is the CEO of WCIT 2008 Sdn Bhd, the company formed to
organize the 16th World Congress on Information Technology in Kuala
Lumpur next May. He is also the Vice President of Business Strategy and
Transformation of Multimedia Development Corporation Sdn Bhd (MDeC),
the body responsible for the development of Malaysia’s Multimedia Super
Corridor.
He brings
with him more than 20 years of experience in the Information Technology
and media industries. Throughout this time, he has played leading roles
in organisations that are a unique blend of content, media and
technology.
With
11 years of his career spent pioneering and developing IT journalism in
Malaysia, Khoo has the distinction of having started and co-started the
computer sections of the two leading Malaysian English dailies – The
Star and The New Straits Times – respectively. After leaving the print
medium, Khoo went on to successively lead two Malaysian IT firms, the
second of which he helped take public as executive director and CEO in
1997.
In December
1998, at a time when the Malaysian dotcom scene was still in its

Khoo
continues to play an active role in promoting Information Technology
and the Internet in Malaysia and around the region, holding, and having
held, many leadership, advisory and supporting roles in industry and
trade associations, government agencies, and policy development bodies.
He was Chairman of
the Association of the Computer Industry Malaysia (PIKOM) from 1995 to
1997 and continues to serve as an Adviser and a member of the
association’s Board of Trustees. He was also a member of the original
board of directors of the Multimedia Development Corporation, In the
regional arena, Khoo was President of the Southeast Asia Information
Technology Organisation (SITO) from 1996 to 1998. SITO is a regional

David Brunnen is managing director of ABFL Groupe Intellex – a business
development consultancy – and an Associate of Personal Broadband UK
Ltd. David has been actively engaged in iBurst/IEEE 802.20
opportunities since 2002 and created the first European ‘pioneer
project’ in Belfast Northern Ireland. He has led the regulatory
campaign for appropriate spectrum provision in the UK and Ireland –
resulting in a successful bid by PBUK for identical spectrum bands in
both Northern Ireland (UK) and the Republic of Ireland.
He is a regular editorial contributor to telecoms trade magazines and
on-line publications. He is an active member of the UK’s Broadband
Stakeholders Group and leads the Networked Services SIG for the UK’s
Communications Management Association.
He is also active in the field of ‘next generation access’ (i.e. fibre
to the home), the European Centre for Connected Health and a number of
advanced transport-related applications for iBurst. Many of his recent

Patrick Clough is a telecom finance professional with over 18 years of
fixed and mobile operator experience. Prior to founding iBand in 2004
he started a hotspot operator, Bizzgo, in 2000 which he led as CEO
until it was sold to Meteor Networks in January 2004. Prior to this he
was Finance Director with Dolphin Telecom France, a European mobile
Push-To-Talk operator, where he raised EUR 95 million for the French
operation and managed the EUR 230 million annual budget. Between 1989
and 1998, Patrick arranged or participated in over EUR 2.5 billion of
network launch investments in the Telecom and Media sectors for
BNP-Paribas (Vice President and Head of Telemedia Finance), Natexis

holds a First Class Honours Bachelor's Degree in Electronic

David Keane has 15 years of experience in the telecommunication field,
working with internetworking vendors, software companies and
telecommunications companies. He has managed projects dealing with the
creation of next generation networks and broadband infrastructure

transmission to value added services. He spent over 5 years with Xylan
(later Alcatel) responsible for implementing broadband infrastructure
networks in Asia and in Australia. Mr Keane was the co-founder of
Veritel Wireless (now BigAir Group Limited) and was responsible for
selling the first commercial iBurst services in Australia in 2003. Mr
Keane grew Veritel from startup to over 10,000 customers within 2 years
and was successful in implementing the first retail market expansion
for wireless broadband.
Mr
Keane is currently the CEO of Nicholls-Price, a leading broadband
solutions consultancy with offices throughout Asia, and Australia. Here
he is responsible for business operations including the company P&L
accounts, as well as product development and leading the consulting
team on broadband issues.

Ms. Joanne Wilson

| Ms.
Joanne Wilson has more than 20 years of professional experience in the
telecommunications industry, specializing in wireless standards,
regulatory and market access issues. She a Senior Advisor to
CompassRose International, Inc., which advises and assists companies,
governments, and NGOs in strategic management, business development and
operations, policy and regulatory issues, etc..
For more than six
years prior to joining CompassRose, Ms. Wilson was VP, Standards for
ArrayComm, LLC. In that capacity she developed and successfully
executed strategies leading to the adoption of the iBurst™ system as
both an American National Standard (ATIS.0700004.2007) and as an
international standard by the Radiocommunications Sector of the
International Telecommunications Union (ITU-R). Ms. Wilson is a
founding and still active member of the IEEE 802.20 Mobile Broadband
Wireless Access (MBWA) Working Group. She is a regular member of U.S.
delegations to the ITU-R Working Groups and conferences addressing
standards and spectrum for 3G and systems beyond 3G (IMT) and MBWA
systems and has had a leadership role in the development and adoption
of ITU-R Recommendations and Reports.
Prior
to ArrayComm, Ms. Wilson had a 15 year career with AT&T and Lucent
Technologies, where as Global Public Affairs Director she addressed
global spectrum and standards matters. Ms. Wilson is an alumnus of the
Brookings Institution’s Congressional Fellows Program and former
legislative aide to Sen. Paul Simon, D-Ill. She holds BS and MS degrees
in EE from Southern University and A&M College, and Stanford
University, respectively.

| Mr. David Ramsay has over 20 years experience in the IT industry, commencing in 1985 with Unisys (Burroughs).
David was responsible for setting up the Unisys Network Enable
Communications group in Australia in 1992 and grew the business from
zero to over $20m within 3 years. In 1995 David left to take the
position of Country Manager for US Networking start-up, Xylan Corp.
David was responsible for all areas of the business from sales &
marketing, technical support and channel development, through to
financial responsibility for the Australia / New Zealand region. He
grew the business to US$10m within 3 years. In 1999 Xylan was acquired
by Alcatel France for over US$2b. David then took on the role of Telco
Marketing Director for the Asia/Pacific region and was the "face' of
the company, becoming heavily involved in delivering seminars and
associated public speaking engagements.
In
2000 he left to form his own start-up in the broadband market, and took
the company from conception to a public listing on the ASX.
Core
duties range from a corporate restructure, financial responsibility,
sales & marketing, business planning and execution, through to
global expansion and he has now positioned the company for significant

Dr. Moedjiono

| Dr.
Moedjiono is responsible for advising and coordinating the
international relations in the field of ICT development and the
strategy and policy to bridge the digital divide in Indonesia. He was
the Deputy Minister of Communication and Information of the Republic of
Indonesia for ICT Development.
Before
joining the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology,
Moedjiono served in the Indonesian Navy with the rank of Rear Admiral
(Ret) and had been assigned in several positions, inter alia, as the
Chief of Naval Data Processing Center and the Naval Chief of Staff
Assistant for Personnel.
Moedjiono
has experienced in the Indonesian Navy personnel database design, naval
wargaming systems analysis and combat modeling, Department of Defense
and Armed Forces organization development, e-Government policy and
development, World Summit on the Information Society document
preparation, and speaker in several seminars in ICT field. He is also a

After obtaining a Masters and PhD degree in electrical engineering, he
was involved in the develpment of ATM backbone systems for Newbridge
Networks in Canada. He then spent 10 years consulting
telecommunications operators, service providers and equipment
manufacturers in Europe and Asia. Herbert currently heads the Europe
expansion of Poynting Antennas of South Africa, the leading
manufacturer of antennas for cellular and wireless data networks.
